Nicholas Sorenson
Nicholas Sorenson directs Wildlife Alliance's online communications and media. Working closely with the development department and Wildlife Alliance's field staff, he is responsible for primary conceptualization, planning, and implementing fundraising and constituent relationship development programs through the Wildlife Alliance website. In his capacity as Director of Special Projects, he also oversees a small communications staff to manage multiple special projects, which include marketing, media outreach, special event coordination, as well as management of the Washington headquarters in absence of the U.S. Director.
Nick's prior experience include, work with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bangkok, in the area of decentralization reform and HIV/AIDS, Natural Resource Management studies at the Asian Institute of Technology and defense market research and analysis and government contract administration with the Mistral Group in Bethesda, MD. Nick grew up in Cairo, Egypt and has lived in Ghana, Morocco, Thailand and the U.K. He received a bachelor's degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from James Madison College, Michigan State University. He plans to pursue a masters degree in Environmental Philosophy, specializing in ethics and development, in the near future.
