Wildlife Alliance's Care for Rescued Wildlife program supports the government-managed Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center that provides a refuge for victims of the illegal wildlife trade. Wildlife Alliance supports key staff positions at PTWRC such as animal husbandry specialists and veterinarians, who provide appropriate enclosures, food, and veterinary care for tigers, gibbons, elephants, and many other species.
In collaboration with Cambodian law enforcement agencies. Wildlife Alliance counters the trade by stopping shipments of wildlife products on national roads and cities throughout Cambodia and on the borders of other Southeast Asian nations.
