We very often get people bringing us baby gibbons that have been kept as pets. It is frustrating to us that people continue to believe that wild animals will be fine kept inside your house. This is just never true. Wild animals will always want to be wild animals! When we get babies in we give them teddy bears in an attempt to act as a surrogate mother, and when they are really small we put electronic heartbeats inside to help to soothe them. A poor substitute for their real moms, but we do try our best to keep them comfortable and happy.
